Our Story

Pike’s Paws was inspired by our beloved dog Maisie, who taught us the importance of providing a safe, loving environment for dogs. Over the past 35 years, we’ve cared for many rescue dogs, older dogs needing gentleness, and younger dogs needing patience. This experience shapes our calm, thoughtful approach to dog boarding.

We believe in slow, steady settling in, familiar routines and a home where dogs can simply be themselves.

"Pike’s Paws is a home from home for my dog Elsie. She has been loved and cared for by Nic and Jane many times over the years since she was a puppy and I have complete confidence in their ability to keep her safe and happy. They treat every dog as an individual. I have no reservations when saying Pike’s Paws is highly recommended."

    Archie

"Archie has only ever stayed with family and I wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving him anywhere else. Archie gets on with everyone but I felt reassured that Jane and Nic made sure he was in a group of dogs that he got on with. He seemed very happy in his little pack."
